Day 3 of the expedition.

The lecturers gave lectures in the morning.

In the morning, the expedition members collected samples from Lake Muzhinai. In the bay of the same name, a Juday net was set at a depth of 300 m to collect amphipods.

Bukin Yu. S. gave a lecture “Molecular Evolution. From modeling to real data analysis”. Different evolutionary models were presented, and different approaches in the field of mathematical modeling were described.

A lecture by A.I. Klimenko was devoted to gene networks. The latest developments and programmes of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS in this field were presented. Various peculiarities of work with gene networks and in the field of phylogenetic analysis were pointed out.

In the evening the expedition arrived in Severobaikalsk and the audience went on an excursion.
