The prospects for the Russian-German cooperation in the study of freshwater ecosystems were discussed during the visit. Currently, Limnological Institute SB RAS and Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry are carrying out a joint project on molecular genetic studies of the Baikal planarians.
