A seminar of the Russian Carcinological Society was held at LIN SB RAS
On April 28, 2026, the fifth seminar of Irkutsk regional branch of the Interregional Public Organization “Russian Carcinological Society” (IR IPO) was held at LIN SB RAS. The staff of LIN SB RAS and Research Institute of Biology of Lake Baikal, Irkutsk State University participated in the seminar.
Reports followed by active discussion were presented:
- Tatiana Mayor (LIN SB RAS) – “Methodical limitations of DNA metabarcoding of freshwater zooplankton”
- Polina Drozdova (Research Institute of Biology of Lake Baikal, ISU) – "Taxonomic status and diversity of Baikal amphipods of the genus Ommatogammarus/family Ommatogammaridae according to molecular data"
- Elena Naumova (ЛИН СО РАН) – (LIN SB RAS) – “Study of the vertical distribution of Macrohectopus branickii in Lake Baikal”
- Elena Naumova (ЛИН СО РАН) – “New” look at the “ecology” of Lake Baikal”
At the end of the meeting, Polina Drozdova was thanked for her active participation in all seminars of IR IPO.
